Submicron Li0.8CoO2 particles were prepared by sol-gel method, and then ball-mill grinding method was adopted to make nanosized Li0.8CoO2 powders. The two kinds of powders were then examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), ICP (inductively coupled plasma), the multi-point BET (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller) and transmission electron micrographs (TEM).
