In this paper we present a new method for smoothing 3D geological models from several sets of cross-sections, based on our proposed controllable morphing algorithm. Before the construction of 3D geological models, intermediated cross-sections are interpolated from pairs of adjacent cross-sections with the constraint of other directional crosssections, and then smoothing models are created from all of these cross-sections. And creation of intermediated crosssections is mainly transformed into the creation of intermediated geological boundary lines which are inside the crosssections, based on the controllable morphing algorithm.
