In the author's previous paper, the theory of electron beam optics in a rotationally symmetrical system was developed. Based on the same theoretical methodology (i. e. Liouville's theorem and the perturbation method), the theory of electron beam optics in a combined focusing-deflection system possessing third order aberrations has been established in the present paper. The influences of electromagnetic deflection fields upon the characteristics of the transport of electron beams have also been discussed.EI0389-937
