Seismic modeling can be used to study the propagation of seismic wave and it is also a useful tool of seismic data processing and interpretation, as the geological model become more complex, especially in northwestern China. In this paper, Finite element-Finite Difference Method(FE-FDM) has been developed, as a new technique of jointed with FEM and FDM; FE-FDM employs semi-discretization of FEM in spatial domain, and FD method to solve wave equations with significant advantages and accuracy.
