Optical add/drop multiplexers based on fiber gratings tuned by magnetic fields

A new type of optical add/drop multiplexer based on fiber gratings and individually tuned by magnetic fields is presented. The isolation between add and drop ports is higher than 50 dB. This device may be useful in wavelength-division-multiplexing networks.EI03246-250B
