On the basis of CCD image technologies, a new kind of image auto-focusing and aiming microscopic system was proposed, which makes it possible that auto-focusing and image aiming is effected in general optical instruments and modern digital instruments. The drawbacks of these instruments such as low degree in automation, susceptibility of aiming accuracy to operator, intensive labor, difficulty in digitalization etc. can be eliminated in the new system. The construction and principle of the new system were stated, its key technologies were researched and experimental research on the new system was carried out.EI05410-412, 4172
