Since most of the host galaxies of short Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are starforming galaxies, we investigate the progenitor of short GRBs assuming both the compact object binary merger and single massive collapsar as their origins. We find that the fraction of massive collapsar component is 0.37 +/- 0.13 based on their offset distribution in host galaxies.Astronomy & AstrophysicsPhysics, MathematicalCPCI-S(ISTP)
