In the past decade, the rapid spread of multimedia and network technology leads to the development of multimedia information retrieval techniques, especially the CBIR (content-based image retrieval) research. In this paper, we introduce a CBIR system which applies hybrid method of relevance feedback and the Earth Mover's Distance (EMD) algorithm. Given a query image, the system can extract color feature, convert RGB color space to HSV color space. In attempt to reduce the drawback of bin-by-bin distance, Earth Mover's Distance (EMD) algorithm is utilized.
