3-D Time domain finite element methods (TDFEMs) based on quadratic B-spline, cubic B-spline temporal basis functions and second order Lagrange interpolation polynomial were presented. We derived the formulations of TDFEM based on the several temporal basis functions. The correctness of these schemes was verified on numerical examples. Finally, comparing accuracy and efficiency of the TDFEM in terms of B-spline basis, Lagrange interpolation polynomial and piecewise linear temporal basis functions, it shows that the proposed schemes satisfy accuracy and time efficiency.Engineering, Electrical & ElectronicSCI(E)EI0ARTICLE2410-4142
