We investigate numerically XPM-induced nonlinear phase noise in 40 Gb/s RZ-DPSK WDM systems with different dispersion maps. The result shows that nonlinear phase noise due to XPM can be effectively suppressed by optimizing dispersion map. ? 2007 IEEE.EI
