The extraordinary cold caused by heavy snow is one of the important signs of climatic change in the past, which was systematically held out by Professor Zhu Ke-zhen, in his work Elementary Study of Climatic Change in China in the Past 5000 Years [1]. The contribution of Prof. Zhu was great; however, the reaction of the international scientific field was vigorous. Zhu was the first person who identified the cold period in the 17th century in China. He was the initiator of that research.
