Here we report a set of new parameters for the generalized Born (GB) model consistent with the RESP atomic partial charge assignment protocol. Effective atomic radii and screen factors as parameters have been obtained through genetic algorithm optimization in the parameter space to minimize the differences between the calculated and experimental solvation free energies. Here, the calculated solvation free energies are based on a GB model using partial charges fitted from the electrostatic potentials based on the 6-31G* basis set with the nonelectrostatic contributions to the free energy of solvation modeled in terms of the solvent accessible surface area (SASA).
