This letter proposes a dual-window technique to reduce the signal degradation due to the existent of subcarrier frequency offset in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. We propose to use two pulse-shaping windows, one for even number of subcarriers; and the other for odd number of subcarriers at the transmitter. The receiver selects the even number and the odd number of subcarriers through two corresponding windows to maximize the output of the desired subcarriers and suppresses the others. The efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated by using the theoretical analysis and the numerical illustration as well.TelecommunicationsSCI(E)EI8ARTICLE117-191
