A new C(21) steroid glycoside, 11 alpha-O-tigloyl-12-beta-O-acetyl tenacigenin B 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 -> 4)- beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 -> 4)-3-O-methyl-6-deoxy-beta-D-allopyranosyl-(1 -> 4)-beta-D-oleandropyranoside (1), named tenacissoside N was isolated from the stems of Marsdenia tenacissima.
