The electrocatalytic performance of three series of spinel-type complex oxides LiMn1.6Co0.4O4 were evaluated in gas-diffusion oxygen electrodes. The oxide particles were synthesized by an improved amorphous citric precursor (IACP) method. The method weakened the agglomerates of the particles and increased the specific surface area.
