Insulin resistance (IR) is a major risk for the development of type 2 diabetes (T2D). Numerous studies have been conducted to determine the relationship of ADIPOQ G276T with IR and blood glucose, but the results are conflicting. We conducted a meta-analysis in this work to further investigate such an association. Published works were retrieved from PubMed and Embase databases. A pooled standardized mean difference (SMD) with 95 % confidence interval (CI) was calculated under a dominant model using a random effect model.
