Use of microperimetry to compare macular light sensitivity in early and moderate primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), chronic angle-closure glaucoma (CACG), and normal controls. A cross-sectional, case-control, comparative study. A total of 126 eyes from 126 subjects, 53 normal eyes, 50 POAG eyes, and 23 CACG eyes were studied. A macular 10A degrees program was performed with MP-1 microperimetry. The mean sensitivities (MS) of the central 2A degrees, 6A degrees, and 10A degrees visual fields were compared among the POAG, CACG, and normal controls.
