The use of lead oxide and titanium dioxide as starting materials to prepare perovskite-type lead titanate was investigated. This method is shown to offer some advantages. First, the preparation of solutions of raw materials can be omitted to simplify processing. Second, the yield increases markedly because there is no restriction on the concentration of the solution of raw materials.
