DOIAbstract
We search for the rare flavor-changing neutral current process B+\u2192K+\u3c4+\u3c4 12 using data from the BABAR experiment. The data sample, collected at the center-of-mass energy of the \u3a5(4S) resonance, corresponds to a total integrated luminosity of 424\u2009\u2009fb 121 and to 471 7106\u2009\u2009B\uaf\uaf\uafB pairs. We reconstruct one B meson, produced in the \u3a5(4S)\u2192B+B 12 decay, in one of many hadronic decay modes and search for activity compatible with a B+\u2192K+\u3c4+\u3c4 12 decay in the rest of the event. Each \u3c4 lepton is required to decay leptonically into an electron or muon and neutrinos.
