The aim of the VALID project is to design and set up a data archive in which old, current and future data can be brought together, and to set new standards for future data collection. This will broaden and redefine the research agenda in language and speech pathology and the emphasis on a multitude of data will trigger multidisciplinary studies. The research groups involved have agreed to continue their efforts to create the VALID data archive and are supported by their research institutes. All data sets will be available for other researchers and additional research.; ; ; ;The Dutch sentence imitation task that was used, the 'zinnen imitatie taak' (ZIT), was developed by Kraan-aan de Wiel (1989). Norm groups are available for this task. The task includes 20 sentences of varying complexity (and four practice items). The sentences are four to 10 words long, with a mean of 7.6 words. The sentences were spoken by a female native speaker, pre-recorded and played back, only once, on a laptop computer with loudspeakers. The responses were recorded on a digital video camera and were transcribed after the testing session. Each sentence was scored either as 'right' or as 'wrong'. Poor performance on the sentence imitation task reflects grammatical problems. All scores were double-checked, and inconsistencies were resolved by the two coders (the researcher and one of the interns with a background in clinical linguistics). Additionally, qualitative analyses were performed on the error categories of this sentence imitation task (Dijkhuizen, 2010).;Aim data collection: Finding out whether there is a link between executive function and language, both in children with ADHD and in children with SLI. All tests are performed by 26 children diagonosed with ADHD (combined and mainly hyperactive impulsive subtypes) and two control groups, consisting of 22 normal developing children, 19 children with SLI. All children in the age range 7;0-8;11, 81% male and 19% female. Two types of test are distinguished, language tasks and neuro-psychological tasks. (3) LANGUAGE QUESTIONNAIRE: children communication checklist-II (Bishop (2003)) NEURO-PSYCHOLOGICAL TASKS: 6 tests from the CANTAB testing battery: (1) MOT (control test), (2) BLC (control test), (3) SST, (4) SWM, (5) SOC, (6) IED and one non-verbal fluency test: FPT
