Groninger Landschap dedicates itself to the conservation, maintenance and development of nature, landscape and cultural heritage in Groningen. Groningen's nature is very diverse: salt marshes, polders, lakes, rivers and woodland; it has it all. On 1 January 2015, Groninger Landschap owned 8,131 ha of nature reserves, in which many plant and animal species occur, including rare and endangered species.
