Coking plant soils are highly heterogeneous and are made of building materials and various organic constituents such as coke, coal, coal -tar and road asphalt. Those materials can strongly influence soil properties. Thus, the retention of the various contaminants will depend on the nature and the degradation of the soil organic constituents. This work deals with the ageing of a coking plant soil and its consequences on the fate of both organic and metallic pollutants.
