The influence of daylength and light intensity on Eurasian perch larvae, post-larvae and juveniles has been investigated. Experiments were conducted in a recirculation system at 21 - 23°C. Prey detection and capture efficiency were enhanced under continuous light and a high level of illumination (400 lx), al1owing higher survival and growth (respectively 57.6 % and 23.8 %.day-1 without impeding development. During the weaning stage, survival and growth did not vary among tested daylengths but a better growth was reached under dim light (5 lx; 10.4 %.day-1).
