The aim of the paper is to describe the mechanisms which govern the interstitial flow in a semi-solid medium and its influence on the behaviour of the skeleton. A model for the compressible viscoplastic solid coupled with the liquid interstitial flow was studied. A dimensional analysis of this model was made. This analysis shows two dimensionless parameters and which characterize the model ; the first represents compressibility and the second characterizes the liquid influence on the solid and it depends on the characteristic velocity of the problem and on the ratio between the dynamic viscosity of the liquid and the apparent viscosity of the solid.
