Penggunaan Blog Sebagai Media Belajar Mata Pelajaran IPS Mengenai Potensi Sebaran Hutan Dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Alam Di Indonesia Untuk Siswa Kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta

This study aims to (1) describe the use of blogs for learning media social science sciences required class VII; and (2) describe the effectiveness of blog as a medium of learning of grade VII students. This study used the pre-experimental One Group Pretest-postest Design method or the pratest-post design of one group. This study is determined by the population of students of SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta and the sample used is the students of class VIID SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta. Data collection techniques using observation and test techniques. Data analysis technique used is ANOVA (Analysis Of Variance) two way. The results of this study are (1) The use of blog as a medium of learning in science lesson social science sciences in the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta is good enough. This is because the response about the benefits of using blogs by students is felt quite positive. Teachers who teach was quite helpful with the existence of blogs that are supplements in teaching and learning activities. It is shown by 90.32% of students experience an increase in the acquisition of test scores after using the media blog. (2) The effectiveness seen in the use of the blog is after the correction of the test results turned out to be quite satisfactory results. According to the results of tests conducted by the researchers the students managed to get a test score that indicates an increase from before using the media blog
