Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a welding technology where the process is a solid connection that can be used to connect materials that are difficult to weld on fushion welding. This research is using friction stir welding method to find out the effect variation of feedrate on mechanical characteristic and micro structure on dissimilar metals joint between Fe and AA 1100 with 3mm thickness, The welding process is using a milling machine with variation of feedrate parameters are 25 mm / min, 30 mm / min, and 40 mm / min.
