This research is aimed at describing teaching technique for writing skill at the tenth gradestudents of SMA Muhammadiyah 2Surakarta in the academic year 2017/2018. The research design in this research was descriptive qualitative research. The data and data sources are events, informant and document. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation, interview, and document. The data were analyzed by reducing the data, displaying of the data and verifying the data. Data triangulation of sources is used to maintain the trustworthiness of the data.
