Several disciplines contribute to the discussion on the origin of language: computer simulation, cognitive psychology, genetics, paleoanthropology, and comparative studies, as some examples. Some disciplines employ sophisticated analysis techniques resulting in empirical evidence inconceivable until a few years ago.
