Galanthus gracilis Čelak ranks among the finest snowdrops for garden and there are a number of excellent variants available from specialist bulb nurseries. Gracilines, a subgroup of the Amaryllidaceae alkaloids was isolated from Galanthus gracilis of Turkish origin. The galanthamin alkaloid which is isolated from the bulbs of Galanthus species is used in the physical therapy for poliomyelitis and in the treatment of same vascular diseases will be useful in pharmacy in Turkey. In this study, morphological and anatomical properties of Galanthus gracilis were investigated.
