In order to reduce the complexity of a RADAR reception chain with digital beamforming, we study the notion of sensor fusion . Once we have written that notion into proper mathematical language, we must wonder about the existence of an optimal way of gathering the sensors . As a matter of fact it turns out to he a multi criteria approach . The first choosen criteria are very classical in array processing, they belong to energy type criteria : signal to noise ratio, and inteiference to noise ratio .
