The contemporary typification of the Mediterranean space: A geopolitical and strategic view

The chapter develops the keys that explain the political emergence of the Mediterranean space from the contemporary perspective as well as its cultural myths and protagonisms. The aspects related to the polemology of the region will take particular significance in this context, both those referred to the so-called traditional conflicts and those of more nascent profile. That area is particularly exposed to multiple influences and interests, other aspects to consider refer to the new security dynamics and the emergent emergencies of migratory movements.
