Diese Abschlussarbeit untersucht die Auswirkung des neuen deutschen Mindestlohns (GMW) auf die Beschäftigung und Lohnverteilung, insbesondere die low-tail-Ungleichheit. Das Ziel dieser Forschung war es, den Grund hinter dem Unterschied zwischen den Erwartungen und den Resultaten des vorhergenannten Mindestlohnprogramms zu finden. Diese Arbeit wendet theoretische und empirische Herangehensweisen zum Beschäftigungseffekt von Mindestlöhnen bis zu Prognosen und Strategiebewertung des GMW an. Die wichtigsten Schlüsse die man daraus ziehen kann sind, dass die Prognosen für den GMW sehr skeptisch waren und eine ungeeignete Beschäftigungselastizität, verbunden mit fehlender Beachtung des Monopsony des deutschen Arbeitsmarktes, zu Annahmen von negat...
