Atmospheric remote sensing is a constantly developing branch of earth observation science. This technology is rapidly changing providing more accurate measurements, new parameters, new kind of data, stuctured and stored in a new manner. Therefore, efficient tools for processing and evaluating atmospheric characteristics are required to stay up to date. In this thesis, an analysis of high resolution microwave spectra from the airborne Microwave Temperature Profiler (MTP) is performed. The essential task is to process the intensive oxygen absorption spectra around 60 GHz range using the TIRAMISU model in order to retrieve the temperature profile.
