Plant operation and performance was monitored in order to understand and evaluate the factors affecting the efficiency of the sludge treatment process. The thesis also presents an overview of anaerobic digestion process, modelling of anaerobic codigestion process, and a general presentation of the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant of Nord‐Jæren (SNJ).
