The school refondation law, stipulates that students with special educational needs, including allophones (EANA), integrate ordinary classes. This research is based on the difficulty I encountered in understanding the educational background of these students since their arrival in France, but also, on the will of adapting my teaching practice in heterogeneous classes. Therefore I tried to understand the school system for allophone students newly arrived in France, and then to take an interest in the specificities of the teaching of mathematics, particularly related to language.
