Human life relies on trust. Trust, however, cannot be taken for granted, as the conflict between trust and distrust inevitably lacks resolution. Trust ­occurs in various forms and areas, whether it be trust in other people, trust in oneself and one’s own strengths, or trust in the social and natural world.
