In the field of computer graphics, the simulation of the visual appearance of materials requires, a rigorous solving of the light transport equation. This implies to incorporate into models all elements that can influence the spectral received by human eyes. The characterization of the reflectance properties of materials, still subject to many researches is very advanced.
