National audienceThis paper discusses the functional attribution of 549 Magdalenian fork-based antler points from Isturitz (Saint-Martin-d'Arberoue, Pyrénées-Atlantiques), Gourdan (Gourdan-Polignan, Haute-Garonne) and Lortet (Lortet, Haute-Garonne). These points show mesial and distal fractures similar to those already observed by several experimenters during shooting sessions employing bone and antler palaeolithic point replicas. We can therefore consider that fork-based points may have been used to tip projectiles.
