Distribution of the Yaeyama flying-fox Pteropus dasymallus yayeyamae Kuroda, 1933 (Chiroptera : Pteropodidae) on the Miyako Islands

Distribution of the Yaeyama flying-fox, Pteropus dasymallus yayeyamae, was surveyed in October 2012 on the Miyako Islands (Miyako-jima, Ikema-jima, Ohgami-jima, Kurima-jima, Irabu-jima and Shimoji-shima). It was confirmed that P. d. yayeyamae inhabits all six islands including Ikema-jima, Ohgami-jima and Shimoji-shima, which all had no previous record of either direct observation or ejecta pellet of P. d. yayeyamae.2012年10月に, 宮古島, 池間島, 大神島, 来間島, 伊良部島, 下地島におけるヤエヤマオオコウモリPteropus dasymallus yayeyamae の生息状況を調査した. これまで記録のない池間島，大神島，下地島を含む6島すべてで, ペリットの発見もしくは個体の直接観察によってオオコウモリの生息を確認することができた
