DEADSEA saltlinestereo 010 (Part1 of Phortographic Dyptych)We stand, before these photographic pairs, directly in front and obliquely over the subject, framing it from above– confounding and calling into question not only the currency and agency of photography and the image but that of the current state of place, navigation and representation. The structure of the photographs is intended to create a strange/uncanny pictorial duality, at once static and agitated–denied a single point of focus.
