An overview of scientific affairs activities at Nestlé Bangladesh Limited

This internship report is submitted in a partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration, 2017.Cataloged from PDF version of internship report.Includes bibliographical references (page 38).In 1994, Nestle started its operation in Bangladesh and its factory is situated in Sreepur, Gazipur. Nestlé Bangladesh employs more than 600 people and an additional 1000 people are employed by suppliers and distributors in connection to Nestlé. The primary products that are sold in Bangladesh by Nestlé are Nido, Nescafé, Maggi noodles and soup, Maggi Shad-e-Magic, breakfast Cereals such as Corn Flakes and Koko Crunch, Coffee-Mate. Nestlé is omnipresent, around the globe, with employees over 220,000 in more than 80 countries with 466 factories. The company has sales representatives in at least more than 75 countries. Being the world's largest food group company, Nestlé leads both in terms of its sales, product range and geographical presence. Almost every field of nutrition is covered by Nestlé: infant formula, milk products, chocolate and confectionery, instant coffee, mineral water etc. Being an intern in the Nutrition function, I got the splendid opportunity to see how Nestlé in Bangladesh operates in the field of Nutrition, after considering all the necessary laws such as the BMS act, and still manage to maintain its lead in market share. Details of all those will be discussed on this paper. I hope that my report would give a through insight to all these responsibilities carried out during my tenure as an intern.
