This article is concerned with the views of Claude‐Henri de Saint‐Simon (1760–1825) on a constitution for Europe and the means for bringing it about. Its principal aim is to explain the ideas which underlay his thinking, the importance of the question of Europe m Saint‐Simon's system, and the origins and inspiration of the work in which he examines the subject in greatest detail: On the reorganisation of European society. The final part of the article offers an assessment and adds some reflections of a more or less speculative nature.(undefined)info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
