Eryngium foetidum (E. foetidum ) and Coriandrum sativum (C. sativum ) commonly known as african malli and malli respectively are widely used in different parts of the world as flavouring agents. The leaves of these plants are used in traditional Indian cusine to improve the smell and taste of the food. Our present study wqas to identify the presence of secondary metabolites in the leaf extracts and to determine the whether the leaf extracts possessed antimicrobial, and antioxidant activities.
