Through a comparison between two well-known reports (Piquard 1973 and Bonnot 1995), the author tries to show the place of touristic activities in the French state coastal policy. During the two decades following the first report, a large part of the policy focused on the limitation of the spatial effects of the urbanization growth in the coastal zone as a consequence of some effects pointed out by the report. The last report introduces new glances on the place of the touristic activities : in spite of their questionable effects on the environment, they are a chance for the French economy and must be considered as a part on an integrative coastal zone policy.À travers une lecture comparative des deux grands audits littoraux que constituent l...
