In the field of reading comprehension, differences between students of contrasting social backgrounds are very strong. This is due to the nature of the reading activity which requires the coordination of a complex set of skills which are potentially the sources of difficulties. Within the framework of this article, we handle only one of them, probably the most crucial issue for democratization : the vocabulary.
