Teachers are being asked to change. But it is obvious that in many ways they resist. The strategy analysis which tries to find out how the doubts and weaknesses of the organisation are a source of power for its actors, enables us to understand how the heritage of the past and a succession of ill integrated reforms have created an imbroglio in which areas of power for teachers can lodge. As for the systemic analysis, it enables us to understand the constraints and determinisms which compel the members of the organisation. A combination of both approaches within a «psychology of organisations» course can provide trainee teachers with both a self-image and an analysis of resistance behaviour, reacting to social or political demands which thems...
