Evolution des micas trioctaédriques en présence d'acides organiques

A systematic study dealing with about thirty organic acids permits the authors to point out two types of mineral ogical evolution of trioctahedral micas : - a destruction of micas under the action of polycarboxylic or hydroxycarboxylic acids (citric, oxalic, tartric, salicylic acids...) ; - an evolution with opening of the layers and formation of a hydroxy aluminous vermiculite under the action of the greatest part of other organic acids. These two types of evolution make intervene different processes : formation of chelates in one case, simple action of protons in the other.Une étude systématique portant sur une trentaine d'acides organiques permet de mettre en évidence deux types d'évolution minéralogique des micas trioctaédriques : - une destruction des micas sous l'action des acides polycarboxyliques ou hydroxycarboxyliques (citrique, oxalique, tartrique, salicylique...) ; - une évolution avec ouverture des feuillets et formation d'une vermiculite hydroxyalumineuse sous l'action de la majorité des autres acides organiques.
