Préparation de produits poreux par traitement acide d'un minéral interstratifié mica-vermiculite

A mica-vermiculite mixed layer, the flakes of which present a surface of 1 to 4 mm , is swelled and then treated by acid solutions. The mica-vermiculite interstratification and the swelled state of this clay mineral give way to porous products with interesting characteristics : porosity and specific surface cover a wide domain and can reach respectively 0,75 cm3/gand 750 m3/g. The products have an important «strong acidity» exceeding 0,30 m.eq.glg (the corresponding product contains 99% of hydrated silica). This «strong acidity» is higher than that of an industrial silica-alumina catalyst. These products can be used as cracking catalysts and catalyst supports.Un interstratifié mica-vermiculite dont les paillettes présentent une surface de 1 à 4 mm ? est gonflé, puis traité par des solutions acides. L'inter stratification mica-vermiculite et l'état gonflé de la phyllite concourent à l'obtention de produits poreux à caractéristiques intéressantes : la porosité et la surface spécifique couvrent un large domaine et peuvent atteindre respectivement 0,75 cm3/g et 750 m3/g. Les produits possèdent une «acidité forte» importante, allant jusqu'à 0,30 m.éq.g/g (le produit correspondant contient 99% de silice hydratée). Cette «acidité forte» est supérieure à celle d'un catalyseur silice-alumine industriel.
