The dielectric properties of pellets of K montmorillonite in equilibrium with partial pressures of water vapour between 0 and 1 are determined between -150°C and + 40°C for frequencies varying from 0, 1 to 20 K H Z. Depending on experimental conditions, the measurements demonstrate several phenomena for which the apparent activation energy is different.
