In the Great Eastern Sand sea mesures of wind have been realised, in february 1984, according to three criterions : day wind, seasonal wind and wind at a geological time scale. A microanemometric study above a star dune brings the proof of braking effect by the dune itself and complication of dominant winds in secondary directions. A sedimentologic study reveals that the different parts of a same dune have a different ability for sand mobilisation.
